I'm going to be smiling about this for a long time

On Wednesday, 18 March, I won a Royal Television Society (RTS) Yorkshire Student Award for my documentary, Found In The Ice. I also won an RTS Craft Award for my editing.
It was a truly incredible evening, and I feel so grateful to have won these awards - especially since this story means so much to me and is so close to my heart.
The evening was made even more special by my friends and former lecturer, who settled my nerves, cheered me on, and helped me make the most out of the photo wall.
Writing this now, all I can think about is how grateful I am to the people who have helped me along the way, and to those who trusted me to share their stories.
There was so much talent on display last night, from remarkable animations and witty short films to chilling dramas and inspiring journalism.
It was such a proud moment seeing my work on the big screen alongside so many brilliant films.
From what I saw, I think it's safe to say that the future of television is in great hands.
This win means that I'll now be put forward for the National RTS Student Television Awards in London, alongside other regional winners. So bring on the next awards.
Ahhh.
